(SAFRA National Service Association —
Exemption) Notification 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1961, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification is the Common Gaming Houses (SAFRA National Service Association — Exemption) Notification 2022.

Definitions

2. In this Notification, unless the context otherwise requires —

“draw” means the draw in which a person may participate by carrying out a qualifying transaction and to be held as part of the promotion at SAFRA Toa Payoh, 293 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh, Singapore 319387 at 7 p.m. on 16 February 2023;

“organiser” means the SAFRA National Service Association, a society registered under the Societies Act 1966;

“promotion” means the promotion called “SAFRA Membership Grand Draw 2022” that is to be made available from 1 May 2022 to 31 December 2022 (both dates inclusive);

“public accountant” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Accountants Act 2004;

“qualifying transaction” means any application for membership or renewal of membership with the organiser from 1 May 2022 to 31 December 2022 (both dates inclusive).

Exemption

3.—(1) The organiser is exempt from the provisions of the Act in respect of the promotion and the draw.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organiser with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
