Boundaries and Survey Maps (Singapore Land Authority Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17(2)(a) of the Boundaries and Survey Maps Act, the Singapore Land Authority, with the approval of the Minister for Law, hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Boundaries and Survey Maps (Singapore Land Authority Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st February 2007.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Boundaries and Survey Maps (Singapore Land Authority Fees) Rules 2005 (G.N. No. S 156/2005) is amended by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(1) For the purposes of section 11D(3)(b) of the Act, the prescribed survey fees payable to the Authority upon any request by a registered surveyor for services in relation to survey work or any query made by the Chief Surveyor described in the first column of the Schedule shall be the appropriate fee specified opposite thereto in the second column thereof.”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Boundaries and Survey Maps (Singapore Land Authority Fees) Rules 2005 is amended —

(a)

by deleting the second column and all entries relating thereto;

(b)

by deleting the sub-heading “Request or query made on or after 1st April 2005” to the “ Third column”;

(c)

by renaming the “Third column” as “Second column”;

(d)

by deleting item (1) and substituting the following item:

“

(1) (a) For land lots not exceeding 2,000 square metres

$556.50 per lot

(b) For every additional 2,000
square metres or part thereof

$183.75

”;

(e)

by deleting items (2), (4), (5), (7), (8)(c) and (10); and

(f)

by deleting item (3) and substituting the following item:

“

(3) For all balance lots created consequent to excision of land by the Government or statutory bodies in the public interest, or for State land balance lots created consequent to alienation of land by the Government

$556.50 per lot

”.
