Cessation of Solicitor-General’s Power to Grant Special Marriage Licences

It is hereby notified for general information that the Solicitor‑General has ceased, with effect from 31st May 1998, to exercise the Minister’s powers under section 21(2) of the Women’s Charter to grant special marriage licences.

2. Notification No. N 1 (1990 Ed.) is cancelled.
