Electricity (Electricity Generation Licence) (Exemption) Order 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Electricity Act, the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Electricity (Electricity Generation Licence) (Exemption) Order 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st August 2003.

Exemption from section 6 (1) (a) of Act

2. Section 6(1)(a) of the Act shall not apply to any person who engages in the generation of electricity in respect of any generating unit with a name-plate rating which is less than 1 MW.
