(Prohibition of Sale) (Amendment)
Notification 1994

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4A of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act, the Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for National Development, hereby makes the following Notification:

1. This Notification may be cited as the Endangered Species (Import and Export) (Prohibition of Sale) (Amendment) Notification 1994 and shall come into operation on 4th November 1994.

2. The Schedule to the Endangered Species (Import and Export) (Prohibition of Sale) Notification is amended by inserting at the end the following item:

“CARNIVORA FELIDAE

Panthera tigris (Tiger)

Substantially complete or parts of dead specimens including, but not limited to, teeth, claws, skin, bones (either in natural form or otherwise treated or prepared which may or may not be contained in preparations).
Meat.”.
