Road Traffic (Singapore Airshow 2010) (Exemption) Order 2010

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Singapore Airshow 2010) (Exemption) Order 2010.

Definition

2. In this Order, “Changi Airport” means the airport declared under the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (Changi Airport) Notification 2009 (G.N. No. S 293/2009).

Exemption

3.—(1) On 23rd and 24th January 2010 and on 9th and 10th February 2010, sections 5(1) and (5), 10, 15 and 29 of the Act and the rules specified in the Schedule shall not apply to the use on any roads in Singapore of any vehicle that —

(a)	is owned by the Government or any statutory authority or by any company operating within Changi Airport, and is kept or used exclusively within Changi Airport;
(b)	is used on the road for the purpose of conveyance between Changi Airport and Singapore Airshow Exhibition Centre in connection with the Singapore Airshow 2010 event; and
(c)	is approved by the Registrar for use on such roads.

(2) The exemption in respect of any vehicle under sub-paragraph (1) is subject to conditions specified in the letter of approval dated 18th January 2010 addressed to the vehicle owner referred to in sub-paragraph (1)(a).
