(Exemption) Order 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order is the Active Mobility (MetaSprint Series Triathlon 2019) (Exemption) Order 2019.

Definitions

2. In this Order —

“MetaSprint Series Triathlon 2019” means the event known as MetaSprint Series Triathlon 2019 organised by Tribob.com Pte. Ltd. (UEN 200312749K) on 28 April 2019 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.;

“specified shared path” means any part of the shared path in East Coast Park (approximately 3 km in length) starting from barbeque pit 45E, running along East Coast Park Area F, and ending at the National Sailing Centre, and that is more particularly delineated on the orange‑coloured line in the map set out in the Schedule.

Exemption for bicycle riders

3. Section 21 of the Act does not apply to an individual riding a bicycle on the specified shared path under the following conditions:

(a)	the individual is a registered participant of the MetaSprint Series Triathlon 2019;
(b)	the bicycle is ridden only during and in connection with the MetaSprint Series Triathlon 2019;
(c)	there is in force, at any time the bicycle is used during the MetaSprint Series Triathlon 2019, a policy of insurance in relation to the bicycle, insuring against any liability in respect of the death of or bodily injury sustained by any person, or property damage suffered by any person, caused by or arising out of the use of the bicycle.
