Central Provident Fund (Investment Schemes) (Amendment No. 4) Regulations 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1)(m) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower, after consultation with the Central Provident Fund Board, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Investment Schemes) (Amendment No. 4) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 6th August 1999.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Central Provident Fund (Investment Schemes) Regulations (Rg 9) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word "and" at the end of paragraph (j) of the definition of "securities"; and

(b)

by inserting, at the end of paragraph (k) of the definition of "securities", the word "and", and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(l)	bonds issued by the government of a country, or an inter-governmental organisation, that are approved by the Minister for the purposes of these Regulations;”.
