Home Affairs) (Amendment) Notification 2000

Variation of Responsibility of Minister for Home Affairs

It is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of Article 30 of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the Prime Minister has varied, with effect from 7th August 2000, the Schedule to the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility of the Minister for Home Affairs) Notification 1997 (G.N. No. S 49/97) —

(a)

by deleting the following words under the heading “ Departments/Statutory Bodies”:

“Singapore Immigration.

National Registration Department.”,

and substituting the following words:

“Singapore Immigration and Registration.

Registry of Political Donations.”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately below the word “Societies.” under the heading “Subjects”, the words “Political Donations.”; and

(c)

by deleting the words “Matters relating to the Drug Trafficking (Confiscation of Benefits) Act (Cap. 84A).” under the heading “Subjects” and substituting the words “Matters relating to the Corruption, Drug Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes (Confiscation of Benefits) Act (Cap. 65A).”.

2. This Notification may be cited as the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility of the Minister for Home Affairs) (Amendment) Notification 2000.
