Workmen’s Compensation (Non-application of Insurance Requirement) Notification 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23(1) of the Workmen’s Compensation Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) This Notification may be cited as the Workmen’s Compensation (Non-Application of Insurance Requirement) Notification 2003 and shall come into operation on 29th July 2003.

(2) This Notification shall remain in force for a period of one year from 29th July 2003.

Non-application of section 23 (1) of Act

2. Section 23(1) of the Act shall not apply to —

(a)	SBS Transit Ltd.;
(b)	Singapore Telecommunications Ltd.;
(c)	Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte. Ltd.;
(d)	Singapore Telecom Paging Pte. Ltd.;
(e)	Singapore Exchange Ltd.;
(f)	Shell Global Solutions (S) Pte Ltd.; and
(g)	Powerseraya Ltd.
