Animals and Birds Act
(Chapter 7)
Animals and Birds (Quarantine) (Amendment) Rules 1996
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 70 of the Animals and Birds Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Animals and Birds (Quarantine) (Amendment) Rules 1996 and shall come into operation on 1st September 1996.
2.  The Schedule to the Animals and Birds (Quarantine) Rules is amended —
(a)by deleting “$17” in item 5 (3) and substituting “$20”; and
(b)by deleting item 9 and substituting the following item:
“9.  Quarantine fees (per day or part thereof):
(a) Cats
...
$9 per cat (with feed).
(b) Dogs
...
$10 per dog (with feed).
(c) Horses
...
$15 per horse (without feed and care).
(d) Cattle
...
$2 per head (without feed and care).
(e) Sheep and Goats
...
70 cents per head (without feed and care).
