Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility of the Co-ordinating Minister for Security and Defence, Prime Minister’s Office) Notification 2003
Responsibility of Co-ordinating Minister for Security and Defence, Prime Minister’s Office
It is hereby notified for general information that, in pursuance of Article 30(1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the Prime Minister has directed that Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, Deputy Prime Minister, shall, with effect from 1st August 2003, be charged with the responsibility of the following matters:
(a)the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Security and Defence (Chairman);
(b)the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Developing Research and Professional Manpower (Chairman);
(c)matters relating to university education; and
(d)such other duties as may be assigned by the Prime Minister,
and that he shall be designated as the Deputy Prime Minister and Co-ordinating Minister for Security and Defence, Prime Minister’s Office.
Citation
2.  This Notification may be cited as the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility of the Co-ordinating Minister for Security and Defence, Prime Minister’s Office) Notification 2003.
