(Government Technology Agency —
Exemption) Order 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Remote Gambling Act 2014, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order is the Remote Gambling (Government Technology Agency — Exemption) Order 2021.

Definitions

2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —

“draw” means the draw to be held at 10 Pasir Panjang Road, #10‑01 Mapletree Business City, Singapore 117438 at 10 a.m. on 30 June 2021;

“organiser” means the Government Technology Agency established by section 3 of the Government Technology Agency Act 2016 (Act 23 of 2016);

“promotion” means the promotion called “TechNews Referral Contest” that is to be made available from 15 June 2021 to 29 June 2021 (both dates inclusive) on the website at https://www.tech.gov.sg;

“public accountant” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Accountants Act (Cap. 2).

Exemption

3.—(1) The organiser is exempt from sections 11, 13, 15 and 17 of the Act in respect of the promotion and the draw.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organiser with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
