(Electricity Licences) (Exemption)
Order 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Electricity Act, the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Electricity (Electricity Licences) (Exemption) Order 2011 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2011.
Definitions
2.  In this Order —
“Consortium” means the consortium of Daily Life Renewable Energy Pte Ltd and OKH Holdings Pte Ltd;
“Project” means the project known as “Testbed for Clean and Renewable Energy on Pulau Ubin”;
“relevant period” means the period starting on the date of commencement of this Order and ending on the earlier of the following:
(a) 30th June 2023; or
(b)the date the Project Agreement entered into between the Consortium and the Authority in connection with the Project terminates.
Exemption from section 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (e) of Act
3.  Section 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (e) of the Act shall not apply to the Consortium for the relevant period in respect of the following activities at Pulau Ubin in connection with the Project:
(a)the generation, transmission and retailing of electricity; and
(b)the provision of market support services.
