Taxi Fares

It is hereby notified for general information that, pursuant to section 20(1) of the Public Transport Council Act, the Public Transport Council has approved, with effect from 1st September 1997, the following amendments to the rates of hire of a taxi.

2. The Schedule to Notification No. S 269/97 is amended —

(a)

by deleting item (13) and substituting the following item:

“(13)

Each time a passenger boards a shuttle service taxi at Ban San Street Taxi Stand to Johore Bahru

$6.”;

(b)

by deleting item (15) and substituting the following item:

“(15)

Each time a Premier Taxi is hired through calling the Premier Taxi Service telephone number:

Make/Model of Taxis

Nissan Cedric, Toyota Crown and others

Mercedes Benz

(a)	for current bookings

$10

(b)	at least half an hour in advance

$12

$20

Where the rates of hire of a taxi under this item are chargeable, the rates in items (7), (10) and (11) will not be chargeable.”; and

(c)

by deleting item (17).
