(Chapter 1)
Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Trade and Industry) (Consolidation) (Amendment) Notification 2004
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Interpretation Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry, with the approval of the President, hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Trade and Industry) (Consolidation) (Amendment) Notification 2004 and shall come into operation on 28th June 2004.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  The Schedule to the Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Trade and Industry) (Consolidation) Notification (N 12) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after item 1, the following item:
1A. Minister of State, Ministry of Transport
 
To approve applications under section 19J of the Economic Expansion Incentives (Relief from Income Tax) Act, in respect of —
 
 
(a) any company which provides any services or engages in any activities relating to ship management or ship agency; and
 
 
(b) any shipping company which provides any services or engages in any activities relating to logistics or freight forwarding.
”; and
(b)by inserting, immediately after the words “(Cap. 86)” in the second column of item 2, the words “, except for any application under section 19J of that Act in respect of which the power of approval has been delegated to the Minister of State, Ministry of Transport under item 1A”.
