Protected Places (Consolidation) (Amendment) Order 2000

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 (1) of the Protected Areas and Protected Places Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Protected Places (Consolidation) (Amendment) Order 2000 and shall come into operation on 23rd August 2000.

Amendment of Schedule

2. Item (91) of the Schedule to the Protected Places (Consolidation) Order (O 2) is deleted and the following item substituted therefor:

MANDAI CAMP II.

All that area comprised in part of State Land Lot 312 Mukim No. 14 (MANDAI), occupied by “MANDAI CAMP II” containing an area of about 94,146 square metres and bounded approximately as follows:

Commencing at a northernmost corner of a fence of the aforesaid “MANDAI CAMP II” which point is 13,543.5 metres North and 8,426.5 metres West of the Survey Department origin of co‑ordinates, the boundaries run along successive lines of fence of bearings and distances as under:

thence along a line on a bearing of 32° 53' for a distance of 14.0 metres to meet a point on the corner of a pillar, thence generally along the outer face of the pillars and across gates on a bearing of 90° 13' for a distance of 9.7 metres to meet a corner of a pillar, thence eastward along a line on a bearing of 118° 27' for a distance of 12.1 metres to a point where it meets a fence, thence along the fence on a bearing of 84° 30' for a distance of 67.5 metres to the point of commencement.

The boundaries of “MANDAI CAMP II” are more particularly delineated and edged pink on Survey Print 10010 filed in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Singapore.
