Broadcasting (Exemption) Order 2004

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 60(b) of the Broadcasting Act, the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Broadcasting (Exemption) Order 2004 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st October 1994.

Exemption

2. The Minister hereby exempts from section 43 of the Act any person who receives funds from loans, bank guarantees, letters of credit or other credit facilities granted to or in favour of it, by banks or other financial institutions licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, provided that such funds are intended for bona fide commercial purposes.
