Societies (Amendment) Regulations 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Societies Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Societies (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2006.

Amendment of regulation 10

2. Regulation 10 of the Societies Regulations (Rg 1) is amended by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(1) The fees shall be payable upon —

For applications submitted online

For applications submitted over-the-counter or via post

(a) approval of the registration of a specified society

(b) registration of a society other than a specified society

(d) approval of a change of name of a registered society

$80

(e) approval of any amendment of the rules of a registered society

(f) consent to the use of a flag, a symbol, an emblem, a badge or other insignia by a registered society

Amendment of regulation 11

3. Regulation 11 of the Societies Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting “$40” in paragraph (a) and substituting “$50”; and
(b)	by deleting “$50” in paragraph (b) and substituting “$65”. [G.N. Nos. S 578/99; S 366/2003; S 518/2004; S 693/2005]
