(Chapter 179)

Merchant Shipping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1996

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 213 of the Merchant Shipping Act, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Communications, hereby makes the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1996 and shall come into operation on 23rd August 1996.

2. The Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations 1995 is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after Part V, the following Parts:

“Part VI

Bareboat Charter

1. Bareboat charter in:

For the extension of registration

$1,250.

2. Bareboat charter out:

(a) For the suspension of Singapore Registry

$1,250.

(b) For the extension of suspension of Singapore Registry

$1,250.

Pleasure Craft

1. Initial registration

$200.

2. Annual renewal

$ 50.”; and

(b)

by renumbering the existing Part VI as Part VIII.
