Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics (Exemption of Clinical Laboratories) Notification 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics (Exemption of Clinical Laboratories) Notification 2003 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 21st April 2003.

Exemption

2. The Minister hereby exempts the Defence Medical Research Institute and the DSO National Laboratories from the licensing requirements of section 5(1) of the Act, subject to the conditions imposed in the letter of approval issued by the Director in respect of those clinical laboratories.
