Employment of Foreign Workers (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2004

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 29 of the Employment of Foreign Workers Act, Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister of State, Ministry of Education, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Manpower, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Employment of Foreign Workers (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2004.

New regulation 3

2. The Employment of Foreign Workers (Fees) Regulations (Rg 1) are amended by inserting, immediately after regulation 2, the following regulation:

“Fee for issue of S Pass

3. For the issue of a work permit designated by the Controller of Work Permits as an S Pass to a foreign worker, a fee of $30 for each year or part thereof for which the work permit is issued shall be paid to the Controller.”.
