Medical Registration (Amendment) Act (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 33(3) of the Medical Registration (Amendment) Act 2002, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Medical Registration (Amendment) Act (Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2003 and shall come into operation on 24th January 2003.

Transitional provisions

2. Notwithstanding section 4 of the Medical Registration Act (Cap. 174) as amended by the Medical Registration (Amendment) Act 2002, section 4 of the Medical Registration Act in force immediately before 24th January 2003 shall continue to apply until the necessary appointment and election of members of the Medical Council are done to give effect to section 4 of the Medical Registration Act as amended by the Medical Registration (Amendment) Act 2002.
