Poisons (Amendment) Rules 1997
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 20(1) of the Poisons Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Poisons (Amendment) Rules 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st October 1997.
Deletion and substitution of Ninth Schedule
2.  The Ninth Schedule to the Poisons Rules (R 1) is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:
NINTH SCHEDULE
Rule 8
1.  The fee for any application for a licence issued under the Act in respect of poisons included in Part I of the Poisons List shall be $260.
2.  The fee for any licence issued under the Act, other than a licence issued in respect of poisons included in Part I of the Poisons List, shall be $75 for 3 months or part thereof subject to a maximum of $600 for 2 years.
3.  The fee for any licence issued under the Act in respect of poisons included in Part I of the Poisons List shall be $100 for one year or part thereof.
4.  The fees for making amendments to a licence or a set of licences on any one occasion shall be —
(a)$35 in respect of poisons included in Part I of the Poisons List; and
(b)$26 in respect of poisons included in Part II of the Poisons List.
5.  Registered pharmacists shall be exempted from the payment of any fee for a licence issued under the Act or these Rules.”.
