Common Gaming Houses Act
(Chapter 49)
Common Gaming Houses (International Football Matches Gaming — Exemption) Notification 2003
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (International Football Matches Gaming — Exemption) Notification 2003 and shall come into operation on 6th August 2003.
Exemption
2.  Singapore Pools (Private) Ltd. and its officers and authorised agents are hereby exempted from the provisions of the Act in respect of the promotion, organisation, conduct, administration and operation of any gaming in connection with any football match outside Singapore where —
(a)the football match is organised, sanctioned or hosted by —
(i)the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (referred to in this Notification as FIFA) or any of its member confederations or member national associations; or
(ii)a body which is an assign or a successor of FIFA or any of its member confederations or member national associations; and
(b)the gaming takes place on such premises as may be approved by the Minister.
Cancellation
3.  The Common Gaming Houses (Foreign Football Leagues Gaming — Exemption) Notification 2002 (G.N. No. S 194/2002) is cancelled.
