Exemption) Order 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation and period in force

1.—(1) This Order is the Road Traffic (Army Open House 2022 @ Heartlands — Exemption) Order 2022.

(2) This Order is in force for the period between 20 May 2022 and 16 June 2022 (both dates inclusive).

Definitions

2. In this Order —

“lorry crane” and “specified motor vehicle” have the meanings given by the Active Mobility (Army Open House 2022 @ Heartlands — Exemption) Order 2022 (G.N. No. S 393/2022);

“specified dates” means —

(a)	for the specified footway in Map 1 set out in the Schedule — from 20 May 2022 to 9 June 2022 (both dates inclusive); and
(b)	for the specified footway in Map 2 set out in the Schedule — from 27 May 2022 to 16 June 2022 (both dates inclusive);

“specified footway” means the part of the footway delineated by the black‑coloured line in each map set out in the Schedule.

Exemption for driving and riding specified motor vehicle

3. Rule 28(1) of the Road Traffic Rules (R 20) does not apply to an individual who drives or rides a specified motor vehicle on a specified footway under the conditions mentioned in paragraph 3 of the Active Mobility (Army Open House 2022 @ Heartlands — Exemption) Order 2022 during the specified dates applicable to that specified footway.

Exemption for driving boom lift

4. Rule 28(1) of the Road Traffic Rules does not apply to an individual who drives a boom lift on a specified footway under the conditions mentioned in paragraph 4 of the Active Mobility (Army Open House 2022 @ Heartlands — Exemption) Order 2022 during the specified dates applicable to that specified footway.

Exemption for driving scissor lift

5. Rule 28(1) of the Road Traffic Rules does not apply to an individual who drives a scissor lift on a specified footway under the conditions mentioned in paragraph 5 of the Active Mobility (Army Open House 2022 @ Heartlands — Exemption) Order 2022 during the specified dates applicable to that specified footway.

Exemption for driving lorry crane

6. Rule 28(1) of the Road Traffic Rules does not apply to an individual who drives a lorry crane on a specified footway under the conditions mentioned in paragraph 6 of the Active Mobility (Army Open House 2022 @ Heartlands — Exemption) Order 2022 during the specified dates applicable to that specified footway.
