Central Provident Fund (Medishield Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 57 of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (MediShield Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st October 1999.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2(1) of the Central Provident Fund (MediShield Scheme) Regulations (Rg 20) is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “cyclosporin” in item (d) of the definition of “insured out-patient medical treatment”, the words “or tacrolimus”.

Amendment of Third Schedule

3. The Third Schedule to the Central Provident Fund (MediShield Scheme) Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “Cyclosporin” in the first column of item 8, the words “or tacrolimus”.
