Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) (Amendment No. 8) Order 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(13) of the Income Tax Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) (Amendment No. 8) Order 2003.

Amendment of Consolidation Order

2. The Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) Order (O 32) is amended —

(a)	with effect from 27th June 1994, by deleting the words “MUI Bank Berhad” in item (1)(p) and substituting the words “HL Bank”;
(b)	with effect from 7th April 2003, by deleting the words “Schroder International Merchant Bankers Limited” in item (4) and substituting the words “Citigroup Global Markets Singapore Merchant Bank Ltd”;
(c)	with effect from 4th June 1995, by deleting item (6) relating to First Chicago (Singapore) Merchant Bank Pte. Ltd.;
(d)	with effect from 1st January 1986, by deleting item (7) relating to The Lloyds Bank International Limited;
(e)	with effect from 1st March 2000, by deleting the words “BankBoston, National Association” in item (17) and substituting the words “Fleet National Bank”;
(f)	with effect from 21st April 1988, by deleting item (38) relating to Midland Bank (Singapore) Ltd.;
(g)	with effect from 1st April 1996, by deleting the words “BOT International (Singapore) Ltd.” in item (50) and substituting the words “Tokyo-Mitsubishi International (Singapore) Ltd”;
(h)	with effect from 16th August 2002, by deleting the words “J.P. Morgan Securities (S.E.A.) Limited” in item (63) and substituting the words “JP Morgan (SEA) Limited”; and
(i)	with effect from 1st April 2002, by deleting item (111) relating to Fuji International Finance (Singapore) Limited. [G.N. Nos.
