Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics (Amendment No. 3) Regulations 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 22 of the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics (Amendment No. 3) Regulations 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2003.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2(1) of the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics Regulations (Rg 1) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by inserting, immediately before the definition of “licence”, the following definition:

“ “electronic licensing system” means the electronic licensing system provided by the Ministry of Health for the purposes of application or renewal of a licence under the Act;”.

Deletion and substitution of regulation 3

3. Regulation 3 of the principal Regulations is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:

“Application for licence

3.—(1) Every application for the issue or renewal of a licence shall be made to the Director in the appropriate form set out in the electronic licensing system of the Ministry of Health at http://www.moh-ela.gov.sg.

(2) The Director may make any modification or amendment necessary to the form for an application or renewal of a licence for the purpose of facilitating the submission of that form.

(3) The form for the application or renewal of a licence and any document accompanying the application shall be submitted to the Director —

(a)	using the electronic licensing system;
(b)	by post;
(c)	by telefax; or
(d)	in person.”.

Deletion of First Schedule

4. The First Schedule to the principal Regulations is deleted.
