(Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games
Opening and Closing Ceremonies)
Declaration 2010
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Public Order Act 2009, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Declaration:
Citation
1.  This Declaration may be cited as the Public Order (Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies) Declaration 2010.
Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies are special events
2.  The following events are hereby declared as special events for the purposes of Part III of the Act:
(a)the opening ceremony of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games being held at The Float @ Marina Bay at 20 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039805 on 14th August 2010; and
(b)the closing ceremony of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games being held at The Float @ Marina Bay at 20 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039805 on 26th August 2010.
Special event site
3.—(1)  The special event site for the opening ceremony and closing ceremony of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games is the Marina Bay area described in the Schedule.
(2)  Notwithstanding sub-paragraph (1), any land that is not a public place shall not be part of the special event site.
Periods of special events
4.  The periods for which this Declaration is in force are —
(a)the whole of 14th August 2010 for the opening ceremony of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games; and
(b)the whole of 26th August 2010 for the closing ceremony of the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games.
