Declaration 2010
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Public Order Act 2009, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Declaration:
Citation
1.  This Declaration may be cited as the Public Order (Hosting of Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Athletes) Declaration 2010.
Hosting of Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Athletes is special event
2.  The event known as the Hosting of Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Athletes, being held at the Youth Olympic Village at the Nanyang Technological University and National Institute of Education between 7th August 2010 and 29th August 2010 (both dates inclusive), is hereby declared a special event for the purposes of Part III of the Act.
Special event site
3.—(1)  The special event site for the Hosting of Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games Athletes is the Nanyang Technological University and National Institute of Education (NTU/NIE) campus described in the Schedule.
(2)  Notwithstanding sub-paragraph (1), any land that is not a public place shall not be part of the special event site.
Period of special event
4.  The period for which this Declaration is in force starts on 7th August 2010 and ends at 2359 hours on 29th August 2010.
Expiry
5.  This Declaration expires on 30th August 2010.
