(Competency Tests — Exemption)
Order 2021
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Active Mobility (Competency Tests — Exemption) Order 2021 and comes into operation on 30 June 2021.
Definition
2.  In this Order, a test‑needed‑to‑drive vehicle has the meaning given by regulation 3 of the Active Mobility (Competency Tests) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 430/2021).
Exemption for riding without competency test certificate
3.—(1)  Sections 23D and 23E of the Act do not apply to and in relation to an individual who drives or rides a test‑needed‑to‑drive vehicle on any public path without a competency test certificate from a test authority for that class or description of test‑needed‑to‑drive vehicle certifying that the individual has passed the prescribed test of competence for that class or description of vehicle.
(2)  Section 23E of the Act does not apply to a person who employs, or allows, an individual exempt under sub‑paragraph (1) to drive or ride a test‑needed‑to‑drive vehicle of a class or description on any public path.
End of exemption
4.  The exemption in this Order ends on (and includes) 31 December 2021.
