Fire Safety (Building Fire Safety) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61 of the Fire Safety Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fire Safety (Building Fire Safety) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st October 1997.

Amendment of regulation 16

2. Regulation 16 of the Fire Safety (Building Fire Safety) Regulations (Rg 1) is amended by inserting, immediately after paragraph (2), the following paragraph:

“(2A) Paragraph (2) shall not apply to any application submitted by the Housing and Development Board, the Land Transport Authority and such other public authority whose qualified persons have been authorised by the Commissioner to perform the functions and duties of the Commissioner under section 3(3) of the Act.”.
