Patents (Convention Countries) (Amendment) Order 1996
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 89(1) of the Patents Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Order:
1.  This Order may be cited as the Patents (Convention Countries) (Amendment) Order 1996.
2.  The Schedule to the Patents (Convention Countries) Order is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately below the words “Dominican Republic”, the word “Ecuador”, with effect from 21st January 1996;
(b)by inserting, immediately below the word “Estonia”, the word “Fiji”, with effect from 14th January 1996;
(c)by inserting, immediately below the word “Greece”, the word “Grenada”, with effect from 22nd February 1996;
(d)by inserting, immediately below the word “Pakistan”, the words “Papua New Guinea”, with effect from 9th June 1996;
(e)by inserting, immediately below the word “Portugal”, the word “Qatar”, with effect from 13th January 1996;
(f)by inserting, immediately below the word “Slovenia”, the words “Solomon Islands”, with effect from 26th July 1996; and
(g)by inserting, immediately below the word “Ukraine”, the words “United Arab Emirates”, with effect from 10th April 1996.
