Free Trade Zones Act
(Chapter 114)
Free Trade Zones (Declared Areas) (Amendment) Notification 1997
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(1) of the Free Trade Zones Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Free Trade Zones (Declared Areas) (Amendment) Notification 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st October 1997.
Amendment of First Schedule
2.  The First Schedule to the Free Trade Zones (Declared Areas) Notification (N 3) is amended —
(a)by deleting item (1) and substituting the following item:
“(1) Port of Singapore:
All that area occupied by “PORT OF SINGAPORE — FREE TRADE ZONE” containing an area of approximately 190.7 hectares and bounded by Telok Blangah Road, Keppel Road, East Coast Parkway, East Lagoon and Keppel Harbour.
The boundary commences at the westernmost corner of the aforesaid “PORT OF SINGAPORE — FREE TRADE ZONE” which point’s adopted co-ordinates are North 27,288.7 metres and East 26,954.2 metres. The point of commencement is 2,711.3 metres South and 3,045.8 metres West of the Survey Department’s origin of co-ordinates and runs approximately as follows:

All that area occupied by “PORT OF SINGAPORE (PASIR PANJANG WHARVES) — FREE TRADE ZONE” containing an area of approximately 40.2 hectares and bounded by West Coast Highway, Pasir Panjang Road and Pasir Panjang Fairway.
The boundary commences at the westernmost corner of the aforesaid “PORT OF SINGAPORE (PASIR PANJANG WHARVES) — FREE TRADE ZONE” which point’s adopted co-ordinates are North 29,101.5 metres and East 21,800.0 metres. The point of commencement is 898.5 metres South and 8,200.0 metres West of the Survey Department’s origin of co-ordinates and runs approximately as follows:

The boundary commences at the westernmost corner of the aforesaid “PORT OF SINGAPORE (PASIR PANJANG TERMINAL) — FREE TRADE ZONE” which point’s adopted co-ordinates are North 30,311.178 metres and East 19,958.625 metres. The point of commencement is 311.178 metres North and 1,004.375 metres West of the Survey Department’s origin of co-ordinates and runs approximately as follows:

Amendment of Second Schedule
3.  The Second Schedule to the Free Trade Zones (Declared Areas) Notification is amended —
(a)by deleting Plan I and substituting the following Plan:
“ UNKNOWN”.
(b)by deleting Plan IV and substituting the following Plan:
“ UNKNOWN”.
(c)by inserting, immediately after Plan VIII, the following Plan:
“ UNKNOWN”.
