Housing and Development (Jurong Town Corporation) Order 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 50A(1) of the Housing and Development Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Housing and Development (Jurong Town Corporation) Order 1997 and shall come into operation on 26th September 1997.

Jurong Town Corporation may purchase HDB flat

2. The Jurong Town Corporation, a body corporate established under the Jurong Town Corporation Act (Cap. 150), shall be entitled to purchase, whether directly from the Board or from another person with the written consent of the Board, any flat, house or other living accommodation sold subject to the provisions of Part IV of the Act.

Modifications to Part IV of the Act

3. The provisions of Part IV of the Act shall apply in relation to the Jurong Town Corporation with such modifications set out in the Schedule.

Revocation

4. The Housing and Development (Jurong Town Corporation) Order (O 5) is revoked.
