Management Act
(Amendment of Second Schedule) (No. 2)
Order 2011

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 76(1) of the Environmental Protection and Management Act, the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Environmental Protection and Management Act (Amendment of Second Schedule) (No. 2) Order 2011 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2011.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. The Second Schedule to the Environmental Protection and Management Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately below the substance “Acetyl bromide” in Part I, the following substance:

“

Alachor

”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the item “Mirex” under the substance “Chlorinated hydrocarbons, the following:” in Part I, the following item:

“Polychlorinated butadienes”;

(c)

by inserting, immediately above the substance “Mercury in Clinical Thermometers” in Part I, the following substance:

“

Mercury

”; and

(d)

by deleting the substance “Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), the following:” and all items under this substance in Part I, and substituting the following substance:

“

Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs)

”.
