Fire Safety Act
(Chapter 109A)
Fire Safety (Dangerous Trades or Purposes)
(Amendment) Regulations 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61(1) of the Fire Safety Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Fire Safety (Dangerous Trades or Purposes) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into operation on 15th October 2000.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  Regulation 2 of the Fire Safety (Dangerous Trades or Purposes) Regulations (Rg 5) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting the following item:

Amendment of regulation 3
3.  Regulation 3 of the principal Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting the definitions of “joinery works”, “motor vehicle”, “painting garage”, “rubber factory”, “sawmill”, “timber” and “tyre retreading works”;
(b)by deleting the words “section 20” in the definition of “temporary occupation permit” and substituting the words “section 21”; and
(c)by deleting the semi-colon at the end of the definition of “temporary occupation permit” and substituting a full-stop.
Deletion of regulations 19, 21, 24, 25, 26, 35, 36, 37, 38 and 39
4.  Regulations 19, 21, 24, 25, 26, 35, 36, 37, 38 and 39 of the principal Regulations are deleted.
Amendment of regulation 40
5.  Regulation 40 (1) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “used for the manufacture of acetylene”.
Deletion and substitution of Schedule
6.  The Schedule to the principal Regulations is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:
