Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Home Affairs) Notification 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36(1) of the Interpretation Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Home Affairs) Notification 2002 and shall come into operation on 10th September 2002.

Delegation of powers

2. The Minister for Home Affairs, with the approval of the President, hereby deputes the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, to exercise the powers of the Minister under —

(a)	section 61(1) of the Police Force Act (Cap. 235) to appoint, promote or dismiss a gazetted officer of the Special Constabulary; and
(b)	regulation 63 (1), (5) and (6) of the Police Regulations (Cap. 235, Rg 1).
