Animals and Birds (Veterinary Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 80 of the Animals and Birds Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Animals and Birds (Veterinary Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2006 and shall come into operation on 1st August 2006.

Deletion and substitution of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Animals and Birds (Veterinary Fees) Rules (R 8) is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

“THE SCHEDULE

Rule 2

Fees

1. Veterinary certification

$23 per certificate

2. Certified true copy of a veterinary certificate

$9.45 per copy

3.Impoundment of —

(a) dogs

$93 per dog

(b) cats

$47 per cat

4. Certification of freedom from rabies in dog-bite cases

$37 per examination

5. Application fee for registration of veterinary vaccines or biologics

$210 per vaccine or biologic

6. Licence to treat, vaccinate or inoculate animals or birds

$40 per annum or part thereof per licence

7. Restricted licence to vaccinate or inoculate animals or birds with veterinary biologics

$16 per annum or part thereof per licence

8. Licence to possess veterinary biologics

$45 per licence

9. Professional service fee

(i) $63 per hour or part thereof

(ii) $133 per hour or part thereof outside office hours or on an urgent basis

10. Technical service fee

(i) $38 per hour or part thereof

(ii) $80 per hour or part thereof outside office hours or on an urgent basis.”.
