Public Utilities (Composition of Gas Offences) Regulations 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 120 and 130 of the Public Utilities Act (1996 Ed.) read with section 73(5) of the Public Utilities Act (2002 Ed.), the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Utilities (Composition of Gas Offences) Regulations 2003 and shall come into operation on 25th September 2003.

Composition of offences

2. The offences under the following provisions may be compounded by the Energy Market Authority of Singapore under section 120(1) of the Act (1996 Ed.):

(a)	sections 99 (3) (in respect of subsection (1)), 104, 106 (in respect of the restoration of a supply of gas) and 115(3)(a) (in respect of offences relating to the supply or use of gas) of the Act (1996 Ed.); and
(b)	regulations 9, 12, 13, 16, 18, 25 and 39 (a) of the Public Utilities (Gas Supply) Regulations (Rg 13).
