(Exemption) (No. 50)
Notification 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification is the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 50) Notification 2016.

Definition

2. In this Notification, “organisers” means —

(a)	the Serangoon Community Club Management Committee;
(b)	the Bedok Reservoir‑Punggol Citizens’ Consultative Committee;
(c)	the Kaki Bukit Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee;
(d)	the Paya Lebar Kovan Community Club Management Committee;
(e)	the Eunos Senior Citizens’ Executive Committee; and
(f)	the Hougang Community Club Management Committee.

Exemption

3.—(1) The Minister exempts the organisers from the provisions of the Act in respect of —

(a)	the “Aljunied GRC & Hougang SMC Mahjong Challenge 2016” promotion to be held from 1 October 2016 to 18 December 2016 (both dates inclusive); and
(b)	the mahjong games to be held at the multi‑purpose hall of Serangoon Community Club from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 18 December 2016.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organisers with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
