Patents (Amendment No. 3) Rules 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 42, 110, 115 and 116(3)(b) of the Patents Act, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Patents (Amendment No. 3) Rules 1997 and shall come into operation on 15th October 1997.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Patents Rules (R 1) is amended by deleting paragraph (e) of item 27 and substituting the following paragraphs:

“(e)	For any document placed in the public search room —

(i)	self-service photocopying of each page or part thereof using a stored-value card

0.15

(ii)	photocopying of each page or part thereof by the staff of the Registry

0.30

(f)	For photocopying of each page or part thereof of any other document by the staff of the Registry

0.30

(g)	For each page of computer print-out from an electronic database of the Registry

0.30”.
