(Chapter 353)

Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) (Amendment) Rules 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 180(1) of the Women’s Charter, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister of State, Ministry of Community Development and Sports, charged with the responsibility of the Minister for Community Development and Sports, hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) (Amendment) Rules 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st February 2003.

Amendment of rule 6

2. Rule 6(2) of the Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) Rules (R 3) is amended by deleting the words “Form B” and substituting the words “Form A”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Women’s Charter (Registration of Marriages) Rules is amended by deleting Forms A and B and substituting the following Form:

“FORM A

Rules 2, 6 (1) and (2) and 15 (1)

THE WOMEN’S CHARTER
(CHAPTER 353)

”.
