Singapore Tourism (Cess Collection) (Amendment) Regulations 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6 and 26 of the Singapore Tourism (Cess Collection) Act, the Singapore Tourism Board, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Singapore Tourism (Cess Collection) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into operation on 19th September 2008.

Deletion and substitution of regulations 2 and 3

2. Regulations 2 and 3 of the Singapore Tourism (Cess Collection) Regulations (Rg 1) are deleted and the following regulations substituted therefor:

“Time to submit return

2. Every person liable to pay cess under the Act shall submit to the Board or its agent a return in such form as the Board may require, no later than 2 months after the last day of the period of the relevant tourist event declared under the relevant Order made under section 5 of the Act.

Time for payment

3. Every person liable to pay cess under the Act shall pay the cess no later than 2 months after the last day of the period of the relevant tourist event declared under the relevant Order made under section 5 of the Act.”.
