Singapore Business Federation Act

Singapore Business Federation (Exemption) Order 2002
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(2) of the Singapore Business Federation Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Singapore Business Federation (Exemption) Order 2002 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 2002.
Exemption
2.—(1)  Any local company or foreign company which satisfies the Council that it did not or does not have any employee during the period specified in the first column of the Schedule shall be exempted from section 5(1) of the Act for the year specified in the second column of the Schedule.
(2)  For the purposes of satisfying the Council that it did not or does not have any employee during the period specified in the first column of the Schedule, the local company or foreign company shall submit to the Council —
(a)a declaration by any of its directors in such form as the Council may require stating that it did not or does not have any employee during that period; and
(b)such other documents as the Council may require.
