Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Act 2023
(Commencement) Notification 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 of the Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Act 2023, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Notification:

1. This Notification is the Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Act 2023 (Commencement) Notification 2024.

2. Sections 2(b) to (g), 4, 5(b), 6 to 10, 11(a), (b), (d) and (e), 12 to 15, 16(1)(b), (d) and (g), 17(c), 18(a), (b), (d) and (f), 19(b), (c) and (d), 21(1)(a), (b) and (c), (2), (3) and (4), 22, 23, 24(b), 25(1)(d), (f) and (g), (2), (3) and (4), 30(1)(a) to (f) and (2), 31, 32, 33, 35 to 40, 41(2), 42, 43 and 44 of the Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Act 2023 come into operation on 1 June 2024.

3. Section 16(2) of the Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) Act 2023 comes into operation on 1 June 2024 at 12.01 a.m.
