Prisons (Declaration of Prison) Notification 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Prisons Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Prisons (Declaration of Prison) Notification 2003 and shall come into operation on 7th October 2003.

Declaration of prison

2. The Minister hereby declares Selarang Park Drug Rehabilitation Centre (excluding Blocks 117, 118, 119 and 120 at Sector IV), 1 Selarang Park Road, Singapore 508167, to be a prison for the purposes of the Act and defines that place to be a prison for the custody of all classes of prisoners convicted, remanded or detained under any written law.

Cancellation

3. The Gazette Notification relating to the Declaration of Prisons (G.N. No. S 233/2003) is cancelled.
