Parks and Trees (Amendment) Regulations 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 63 of the Parks and Trees Act, the National Parks Board, with the approval of the Minister for National Development, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Parks and Trees (Amendment) Regulations 2009 and shall come into operation on 9th October 2009.

Amendment of regulation 8

2. Regulation 8(3) of the Parks and Trees Regulations (Rg 1) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “public speaking” in sub-paragraph (a) and substituting the words “play-reading, recital, lecture, talk, address, debate or discussion”; and
(b)	by inserting, immediately after the words “the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Speakers’ Corner) (Exemption) Order 2008 (G.N. No. S 426/2008)”, the words “and the Schedule to the Public Order (Unrestricted Area) Order 2009 (G.N. No. S 491/2009), respectively”. [G.N. No. S 425/2008]
