(Chapter 21)
Betting (Singapore Turf Club — Exemption) Notification 1997
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 22(1) of the Betting Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification may be cited as the Betting (Singapore Turf Club — Exemption) Notification 1997 and shall come into operation on 7th November 1997.
Exemption
2.  The Singapore Turf Club and its members and officers are hereby exempted from the provisions of the Act in respect of the promotion of any betting in connection with any horse-race in Singapore, Malaysia or overseas where the betting takes place at such premises as may be approved by the Minister.
Cancellation
3.  The Betting (Bukit Turf Club — Exemption) Notification (N 2) is cancelled.
Made this 29th day of October 1997.
